Collection and Use of Personal Information

We process your personal data for carefully considered and specific purposes which are in our interests and enable us to enhance the services we provide, but which we believe also benefit you.

Personal data is information that can identify a specific individual such as name, physical and/or email address and telephone number. If during your visit to this website you register to download resources, you are choosing to provide us with your personal information. You agree that it will be used to:

Retention

We will retain your data for as long as needed for you to use the site. Accounts that have been inactive for 4 years will be deleted.

When you register with Boots Soltan Sun Ready, you are offered the facility to use an address look-up service called SPIRIT, provided to us by a third party. This is a UK-based database of schools supplied to us by The Education Company Ltd. We use this database to gather supplemental information, such as your school postcode. This allows us to simplify your registration process and subsequently to monitor which resources you open to assist us in our development of new resources.

We assure you that Boots will never sell your personal data, and keeping it safe is our top priority.

Disclosures and Transfers of Personal Information

As mentioned above Boots UK Limited does not sell or otherwise release your personal information to third parties to allow them to direct market their products and services to you.

Boots UK limited does not send the data outside of the EEA (European Economic Area) for any reason relating to providing this service to you. 

We may carry out anonymised research which does not identify you as an individual. The reason we do this is to help improve our products and service which we offer to you.

From time to time we may also carry out research and conduct surveys. We will reach out to you to see if you would like to participate. Your data will only be captured with your consent.

We will process and retain your data as described in this Policy. Once you cease to be a customer we will hold your data as described in the data retention section. You do have a right to request that Boots deletes the personal data it holds about you.

Soltan Sun Ready Challenge App

The Soltan Sun Ready Challenge app is subject to Boots UK Limited privacy policy. Any photos saved from the app will be stored locally on the tablet. Anonymous usage stats are recorded for use in the Google App Store. This data is used for further enhancement of application and solely used by us. This data is collected and analysed in aggregated form. We don’t sell this information with or without user consent. We do not collect any personal information from users.
